Can’t get through to EDD? Experts offer ways to get answers.

Are you having problems with your unemployment benefits? And searching for How to get through to EDD? First, do not call the Employment Development Department.

Experts suggest that you visit EDD’s website, videos, and, if this doesn’t help, send an email through its Contact Us feature on its website.

Ginny Silver, who makes videos to assist people with EDD, said that if the question cannot be answered online, you can try calling the number. Don’t stop there.

Daniela Urban, Executive Director of the Center for Worker’s Rights in Sacramento, stated that claimants should not call EDD.

The call center is overloaded. It received nearly 3.9 million calls in the week ended May 22nd from 325,000 different callers. The staff responded to 233,134 calls.
